Iowa Day 2 - Alton & O.C.

"This is David. He's my pal."
-Liam
"Who is this guy???"
-DavidTime for the infamous Orange City Tulip Festival. We've got our spot picked for the parade.
I'm set on food. This $9 hunk of meat proved to be worth every penny.
Let the Tulip Festival Parade begin! (The first of many this week)
The Dutch women are washing the streets to prepare for the arrival of the Queen.
The high school marching band gave us an early morning wake up call our first morning in Iowa while preparing for the parade by marching through the streets of Alton... directly in front of our bedroom window.

Iowa Day 1 - Meeting David

After a year's worth of anticipation, my brother-in-law Jon & wife Liz finally brought their new baby boy home from Ethiopia. Carmen, Liam, & I flew to Iowa this month to go meet David Jacob Moss. He is 1 year old and learning to crawl and speak basic words in English. We are trying to help him break a few habits (like flipping off the camera).
"Here David. Let me help. These are called Chuck Taylor's. It's what we wear in America."
-Liam
"We're not jealous... just keep ignoring us... it's not like we were here before the baby!"
-Sophie & Sia
Liam was happy to meet his new cousin... and get a whole week to play!
"Lookout below!!"
-Liam
In Liam's perfect world the only thing he would do all day is swing & slide.
And of course... drive the rental car.Carmen's plan for the week includes spending time with David and eating Pizza Ranch!
At the end of the day; this is the real reason why we came to Iowa this week.
