Waaaaaaaahhhhh!!!

This is my son. I think he learned to be dramatic from his mom.
"I think Liam needs a nap... or therapy."
-Toby (Liam's less dramatic cousin)
"Puddle!!!"
-Sam (Liam's hyperactive cousin)
Oh, sure... now he's happy!
Teresa: Then & Now
No drinkin & drivin! I'm sure Kenny has no problem taking over Teresa's new car for a little while.
"Bye bye."
-Liam
The boys are sad to see the party breaking up. They love all the attention. No worries! Gramma's still here!!!
"Dude, what's wrong with an Irish shirt on Easter. I'm still Irish."
-Brian

Easter Egg Hunt @ The Cove

Liam was excited to see Easter Bunny for the first time. I think it reminds him of his little squirrel pal from the back yard, only bigger!
"Hi Liam. Hi Jeeed. Hi Caumen."
-Sam
Liam found some candy. Now he's trying to figure out what to do with it.
What a good helper! Liam decided to donate all of his candy to Isaac's bag.
The hunt is on and the candy is everywhere!
"Don't mess with my Easter candy."
-EthanMy nephew and niece Haley and Levi are the real Easter Egg Hunt pro's. They were so good, they donated much of their candy to the younger kids.
I think Stephanie (my sister in law) is making her debut in my blog today. Thanks for letting me know about the Easter Egg Hunt today, Stephanie. What a beautiful day, too!Candy or no candy, Liam just had fun hanging out with his Uncle Brian and all of his cousins.

Happy 1st Birthday Liam (March 18th)

While at work on Tuesday, I had visitors. We often give station tours, so Carmen brought Liam in to spend his first birthday at the fire station.
No Liam, we can't ride on the tailboard anymore. Although I wish we could.
"Um dad, what does Pwobatonary mean?"

Liam's 1st Big Boy Car Seat

Ok Andrew, just put pants on Liam so we can put him in his big boy car seat for the first time.
He's a little squirmy.
Almost got it... one leg at a time.
Pull!!!
Wow, Liam is flexible!
Wait a minute... Andrew, I think we have a problem.Much better. I think he likes it!
Oh yeah, facing forward is WAY better!

Port Townsend

Our family took a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island just to enjoy the day. It drizzled at first, then the sun came out and it turned out to be a gorgeous day!
Run Sam!!!! Arrrrrrrrrggggggggggggg!
Precious moment between father & son.

Ok, hold still for one second boys. This is not as easy as it looks.
Mom & dad are at the park with the girls. Dad's pushing Carmen on the tire swing. She's laughing so hard. It's like they're kids again.
Except now their kids have kids... and they love to play together! Yay, cousins!
Look Liam, dad found a big boy toy that he can play on.
I had a great day driving around the peninsula, walking around Port Townsend, visiting local shops and bookstores, letting the kids play at the park, pushing the strollers, and changing diapers along the way. I thank God for the sunshine and my family.

Two Birthdays in One Day???

Since mom & dad were in town from Kentucky and Liam's first birthday was quickly arriving, the big party went to Liam. Even though Liam's birthday isn't until March 18, we celebrated it on dad's birthday! Sorry dad; but hey, "Feliz Cumpleanos from all of us at Azteca!" Nice sombrero!
I think "grandpa" got everything he wanted for his birthday. The kids was had all the fun they could handle during birthday week. All the boys (& Haley) were verry happy to see grammy & grandpa.

Liam's first car! (Thanks papa)

By looking at this picture, which do you think Liam is more excited about; the girl... or the new car! Yeah, he's just a little excited. Check out those dimples. (Click on the image)
Busted! These 2 trouble makers were about to sneak off in Liam's new ride.
"Wow Liam, you're such a good driver. (sigh)
-London
"Hey, aren't you gonna invite me in? We could cruise around the living room together."
-London
"Oops. I'm outa gas. London, would you mind getting out to push."
-Liam
"Men, you gotta let them think they're in control. We all know who's really running things around here."
-London

"Empty? I could have sworn we filled up when we left the kitchen."
-Liam

Liam couldn't be happier. He's got his girl, his car... what more does a 1 year old need?!
I wouldn't do that if I were you. Liam is pretty temperamental when it comes to his siren.
"We weren't doing anything mom, honest."
-London
Um, Joanna... I think you're a little big for that car.
Told ya.

Birthday Cake Explosion!

"Oooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh Chocolate Cake for me???!!!"
"Aren't you gonna feed it to me?""Mmm, tasty.""Ok, I'm diggin in! Who needs a fork?"
"Come here, I wanna give you a kiss!"
This is when Liam realizes that he can inhale it much faster by bypassing the hands and going straight at it with his face.
"Do I get to eat the hat, too?"
Those Indian boys sure can grow beards at a young age.
"Oh cake, how is it you are so full of chocolatey goodness? So rich, so moist, so gonna give me a tummy ache later."
"I am the happiest almost one year old in the world, and I have this smile to prove it!""What do you mean the cake's almost gone?!"I can go all night!"
Liam is so proud of himself. I think he is experiencing chocolate bliss.

Happy (early) Birthday Liam!

"I'm so happy it's my birthday!!! (well, not for 3 weeks, but everyone thinks it is) Yay!!!"
"Don't tell Liam, but I think he's soooo cute! And he has the best parties." -London
Papa & Liam are great pals! Whenever those two get together, I can sense the mischief brewing...
Alright, present time! Something tells me his favorite is the one that his pants are glued to. Nothing says "Happy Birthday" quite like a big red fire engine!
Oh my goodness, this pile of presents is endless! Thanks everyone for such generous gifts! Where are we gonna put them all?!
Keep blowing 'em up Hayden, maybe we'll get enough to fly around the living room.Ok Liam, it's time to get out of the fire truck. The party's over.
But dad, I wanna party all night. I'm not sleepy...

The Blustery Day (in Japan)

video
Carmen's second time on a snowboard turned out to be a day of heavy snow and gusty winds in Niigata. Nearly all the ski resorts were closed down or had minimal runs open. We stuck it out, though. Then we went to the hot springs to relax!
